Broforce: Lets You Do Some Van Dammage In The Name of Freedom
Broforce and The Expendables have combined their might into one free game, a ten-level extravaganza of manliness that's available right now on Steam. It is free, it is amazing, and you should be downloading it right now.
"The Expendabros have assembled and set their sights on the forces of ruthless arms dealer Conrad Stonebanks in the forests of Eastern Europe. Battle in a flurry of bullets and non-stop action through ten full-throttle missions set amongst the picturesque tree tops and the absurdly dangerous lumber mills teeming with enemy soldiers, excessive artillery, and inconveniently placed circular saws. Rescue your brothers in arms and play as seven different legendary soldiers  each with their own unique weapons and special attacks  with up to four players at once in local multiplayer co-op mode."
Broforce Needs These Characters
If you've somehow never heard of developer Free Lives' Broforce yet, you sad, little person, you haven't experienced what is perhaps the best side-scrolling action title in years.
The gimmick here is that the game takes all of the greatest cinematic action heroes and places them in a ridiculous, over the top action title. These were completely unlicensed characters before this crossover, with Bro-ified names (Rambro, the Brominator, etc.), each of which has their own special moves to offer. It's great to see them getting the official nod to include a film's characters- what action movie wouldn't want to be featured in Broforce, after all?- and this bodes really well for the game's future.
The Expendabros will be available for download on Steam through December 31, 2014.
Broforce regularly takes over the GameNGuide offices with each month's update, which continues to add more and more characters and new features. Fans of 80s action movies will be in heaven here and the game's sense of humor is perfectly on point. It's absolutely worth your money, even in this Steam early acccess version, and now you can see how much you will like it with this free version.
