Flashback Games, The Lordz Games Studio and Slitherine today announced the beta for their upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon game for the PC.
By signing up for the beta, players will have a chance to be selected to be one of the lucky few, who will be able experience Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon before release and help us with the final touches, ensuring a smooth release later this year.
Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon is set during the Second War for Armageddon, during the Ork invasion. In this hex-based, turn-based game developed by Flashback Games and The Lordz Games Studio, players will lead the Imperial forces of the Armageddon Steel Legion and Space Marines from a variety of Chapters against the Ork invasion through the hostile terrain of the planet and its gigantic Hive Cities.

No official release date has been set for the game. The game will hit other platforms such as iOS and Android later.
In Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon, players will take command of over 300 unit types from across all different factions, 20 cities and a huge sprawling campaign featuring 30 epic scenarios You'll also be able to mod your own maps in the in-game engine's game editor. The game will feature morale and weather effects, as if an Ork horde were not enough already, now you have to deal with temperamental weather and troops!
The game features a complex plot, involving known characters from the Warhammer 40,000 universe and while advancing through the campaign, the player will have the ability to carry over his or her core force from scenario to scenario.
