Three New Hyrule Warriors Trailers Highlight Link And Zelda DLC Costumes And Lana's Deku Abilities

Today feels a lot like Christmas. We wake up and are greeted with not one, not two, but three new Hyrule Warriors trailer waiting for us.

Majora's Mask Fan Remake Video Goes Viral

The trailers were leaked over the weekend with shaky, fuzzy versions. The first two focus on Link and Zelda's day one DLC costume choices. The third gives another look at Lana, the white witch created exclusively for the game and a glance at the Deku Tree level.

The new costumes, which takes their cues from The Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. The costumes all look great in action. I have not gotten the chance to play Skyward Sword yet, and I have to say that I like the look and feel of the heroes' garb. There's something a bit more playful, a bit brighter than the mature and serious Twilight Princess costumes. I especially the hippie commune look Zelda is cultivating in that one.

No Online Multiplayer Support For Hyrule Warriors

Lana's trailer proves to be the most insightful. It further solidifies the notion that she is some sort of spirit guardian, a protector of the Deku Tree. She can summon up little Deku seeds with her magic and seems right at home with her nature magic. I wonder if she is a native of Kakariko Village and if young Link from Ocarina ever had any dealings with her.

The game is set to drop in less than two weeks in Japan on the 14. We still have not received all characters yet. Ganondorf is missing, though whether he is a hero or villain remains to be seen. Expect some big announcements tomorrow during Nintendo's Livestream event at 2 p.m. EST. Hyrule Warriors hits North American shores on September 26.
