This, naturally, caused widespread amusement and panic online, as everyone took to Twitter to complain or carefully craft the best 140-character one-liner on the subject that they could.
It didn't take long for the #facebookdown hashtag to start trending--flip through it yourself to see everyone make the same jokes about what we'll do with our free time, and how we will have to interact with other human beings in person.

The outage also makes Jesse Eisenberg a giant liar, something I'm sure he doesn't appreciate--the real Zuckerberg will be hearing from his people shortly.
