NBWZ. Never Be Without Zelda continues. A new Hyrule Warriors trailer for Princess Zelda's most loyal bodyguard, Impa, has been released by developer Tecmo Koei.
Wii U Sales Sluggish Despite Mario Kart 8 Boost
The minute long gameplay trailer features Impa deftly wielding a naginata, the Japaense equivalent of the halberd. It proves her ninja cred through and through. Enemies quite literally fall before her and are then cut in half like paper.
Impa has made several appearances in Zelda games. She was introduced in Ocarina of Time, where she rescued Zelda from Ganondorf's attack and later ascended to become the Sage of Shadows. The version present in Hyrule Warriors, however, is taken from the Wii U's The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword where she got into some of the time-travel shenanigans herself. No word yet on whether or not the elder version of Sheik will be some sort of playable character or ability!
New Japanese Hyrule Warriors Commerical Is Full Of Rock
Impa's previous video has her squaring off against her adversaries with a very large sword. The results are the same, of course, but there is something more satisfying about the grace and elegance of the naginata.
We are now officially two weeks away until the Japanese release of Hyrule Warriors on August 14. The official site is hinting at more characters to fill out the roster, which stands at 10 at the current moment. Who is left to play? We all assume Ganondorf will have to make some appearance; but will Hyrule's greatest nemesis be a hero or villain? Maybe a little of both?
The game hits the states on September 26. Watch Impa in action below.
