Bandai Namco has just revealed a new Digimon installment, coming to Xbox 360 and PS3 in a few months, which will features a tournament the likes of which the series has never seen before.
This is a party game, an arena multiplayer game that will allow four players to compete in a "Digimon Evolution Tournament". Players will be able to choose from 12 popular characters and play as a total of 32 Digimon forms. What's more- the selection will be pulled from every single Digimon television series, from Digimon Adventure to Digimon Fusion.
As you'd expect, players can power-up in battle to Digi-volve (ugh) into more powerful forms, forcing players to balance attacks with attempts to transform into the new forms.

Digimon was created as a toy gadget that took on the success of Tamagotchi, offering players to take care of monsters and prep them for battle. Since then they've invaded every other form of media- comics, films, tv, and of course, games, with digital card games, adventure games, racing games, even an MMO. This is perhaps the first party game in the series, however.
"The Digimon brand has enjoyed a dedicated following for well over a decade and boasts an incredibly devoted and passionate fan base with more than one million followers on the official Digimon Fusion Facebook page alone," said Chris Gilbert, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Bandai Namco. "We are especially pleased to see Digimon fans rallying support for future Digimon video games to be localized in the Americas. With DIGIMON All-Star Rumble, we look forward to delivering a battle arena game experience that Digimon fans can really be excited to get their hands on."
Digimon All-Star Rumble will hit stores on November 11 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Check out the reveal trailer below:
