Square Enix, one of the world's most respected game brands, will be making one hell of a big splash at this year's gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

The splash will be so big that they won't be able to contain it. The Square Enix "booth", or rather "booths" will feature over 180 playable game stations with such titles as Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Nosgoth, a whole bunch of Dragon Quest stuff, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call and so much more. You owe it to yourselves to buy a ticket to Germany and go.
FF XIV fans can get in on a 48 man game where they will go up against up ultimate summons Gilgamesh, Leviathan and Ramuh. "Come on down to Hall 9/A51 and you will be able to compete in the brand-new frontline PvP mode that pits three teams of 8 against each other or try to stand their ground in extreme battle challenges with live commentary by well-known ESL casters Mori and A1m. The winners have the chance to take away valuable gaming hardware."

Players will also get to try out the all new 4 player co-op mode of the Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, the sequel to the actioner Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. And if you've been chomping at the bit waiting for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, that will be front and center, too.
Additionally, every player that hits up the Nosgoth booth (9/B51) will not only get to square off in the endless war between humans and vampires, but will also be granted access to the closed beta.
Cosplayers can head on over to Hall 10 in their finest Square Enix inspired stuff and take pictures in front of the FF XIV backdrops.
"It's great for Square Enix to support gamescom once again, the show is growing year on year in terms of numbers and importance, and is the biggest gaming event in Europe," said Mike Sherlock, COO of Square Enix Europe. "Our games showcase the impressive talent from Square Enix's Eastern and Western studios and our line-up has something for everyone - MMO players, console gamers, families, mobile users and PC competitive gamers."
Gamescom is happening from August 13 through 17 in Germany. It may not be E3 or Comic Con, but I'm guessing the beer will be so much better.
