Tecmo Koei has once again updated the site for its upcoming Dynasty Warriors inspired Hyrule Warriors. It feels like it has been a while this time.
New Skylanders Trap Team Packs
The new video gives our pointy eared, green clad hero Link the old ball and chain. No, no, he hasn't finally married Zelda. The ball and chain is quite literally that, a ball attached to a chain that he can toss and twirl around at his opponents and wipe the floor with them.
The chain is part of Link's power glove moveset, which like in the more traditional Zelda games, allows him to pick up objects he otherwise could not, such as giant boulders and even, as the video demonstrates, other creatures. The B&C originally appeared as a playable item in the Wii offering The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It had appeared in several games beforehand, simply never as a usable weapon.

Despite the large majority of female characters, I know I'm going to play through this game as Link first. I'm going to name him Link, too, if I am given the opportunity. Old habit. Hyrule Warriors may not have dungeons and keys to find, but it is still a Zelda game game. Of course the man in green gets first showing.
We're about three weeks away from the Japanese debut of the game on August 14. North Americans can then expect another month of agony as we wait for it to hit our shores on September 26.
Check out Link's ball and chain below. It's way more fun than the one you have at home, right?
