No More Single-Player DLC For The Last Of Us; Plenty Of New Multiplayer Content Expected For Zombie Surival Game

The Last Of The Offline Players: No New Single-Player DLC For The Last Of Us

There will be no more single-player DLC for Naughty Dog's acclaimed, very much a single-player game The Last Of Us.

August Xbox One Update Revealed

Naughty Dog community manager Arne Meyer, speaking with Digitalspy, confirmed that there will be no new single-player DLC for the acclaimed zombie survival game, but added that "We do have some DLC planned, it'll be multiplayer focused. We're not ready to talk about the details yet, but throughout the rest of the year we'll have some DLC drops."

The company released the Left Behind campaign earlier this year which outlined Ellie's story from before the events of the main game. It's a huge and interesting world to play around in, and Naughty Dog is one of the best at expanding on their creations. It's odd that they will not find another story to tell.

Uncharted Movie Gets Some Details

The previously released DLC package and all other minor additions, such as costumes and weapons, will be made available with The Last Of Us Remastered which is going to hit US shores on July 29 for the PS4. The game features improved graphics, a new locked 30 frame per second rate as well as developer commentary.

"We just wanted to say when we released the Remastered version, we know there's a lot of DLC out there, and that we weren't going to stop supporting both the PS3 and PS4 versions," Arne told Digital Spy.

The newly remastered version has aided Naughty Dog in better understanding the PS4 architecture, which will help them with the fourth and final chapter to their Uncharted series, titled Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, due out next year.
