Fox’s Batman Prequel 'Gotham' Teases Multiple Jokers, Will Reveal Only One [TRAILER]

Every Villain Gets Some Play In This Gotham Trailer

This fall, Fox will be airing Gotham in direct competition with CW's Arrow and ABC's Agents of SHIELD. Lotta superheroes on TV nowadays! Well, not so much with the heroes in Gotham...

The Joker! Anyone who wants to do a Batman TV show, movie, comic, video game is going have to deal with the Clown Prince of Crime sometime. But what to do when your Batman show is not really about Batman but rather a young Commissioner Gordon (only the latter part of that is true on Gotham).

Ben McKenzie plays Jim Gordon, a young lieutenant on the GCPD, with the awesome Donal Logue as his partner Harvey Bullock. Jada Pinkett Smith plays new character Fish Mooney, a Gotham mobster who is the current boss of Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Taylor - not related to Chris Eccleston), and a CSI-employed future Riddler (Corey Michael Smith). Dunno what Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) is doing there in the trailer. Bad parenting!

Now how about that Joker (oooh love that Joker). BleedingCool reports that the show will fake-out the audience a bunch of times, with walk-on roles by characters who appear to be comedians, flower sellers, or just guys with big goofy smiles, to make you think this could be a future Joker. Who the actual Joker will turn out to be is a mystery.

That's a cool way of making your big bad guy reveal feel a bit different, but is everyone else kind of weirded out that literally every future Batman villain is going to be 10 years older than him? No wonder they need mooks constantly.
