The Destiny beta is set to hit this week on PlayStation 4 and PS3, and the details of its contents have been leaked online.
Destiny Collector's Editions, Beta Release Dates Announced
In what is said to be a letter sent to GameStop employees according to a post on Reddit, VG247 reports, we learn that the beta will contain four story chapters and multiplayer modes.
The competitive multiplayer will include four maps this time around, as opposed to just the two offered in the alpha. The beta will also offer a co-operative Strike mission.

Another Reddit post also seemingly reveals the size of the beta download, which will be 12.63 GB on Xbox One according to the image below. It remains to be seen if the beta will be the same size on Sony's consoles, but you can expect it to at least be somewhere in the same ballpark.
As announced previously, the beta will first be available on PS4 and PS3 July 17, followed by Xbox 360 and Xbox One on July 24. You can find my impressions from the alpha here, in which I was pleasantly surprised by the competitive multiplayer and disappointed with the campaign.
Hopefully the beta gives a better representation of more enjoyable story and missions from the campaign, but I'm most looking forward to digging deeper into the multiplayer--look for our thoughts on the beta once it launches this week and we have had a chance to put time into the experience.
