A little light is shed by AMC on the Bob Odenkirk-led spin-off of TV classic Breaking Bad. Did you know Saul Goodman wasn't his real name?
Sleepy Hollow 2 Teaser Revealed
That would be Jimmy McGill, a small fry lawyer not unlike Gil from The Simpsons that time he was an ambulance chaser.
Better Call Saul aims to depict Jimmy's journey to/descent into becoming the man we know and love as Saul Goodman. Confirmed as regulars in the first season are Jonathan Banks reprising his fan-favorite role from Breaking Bad as private eye and "fixer" Mike Ehrmantraut, This Is Spinal Tap's Michael McKean as Chuck, Rhea Seehorn as Kim, Patrick Fabian as Hamlin and Michael Mando as Nacho.
The Expendables Come To Life In This New Motion Poster
Better Call Saul will start off in 2002, half a decade and change before Saul meets Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. It is, of course, always possible Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul shoot secret cameos, but don't expect extended guest spots. The first episode will air this November, with nine more to follow. A second season has already been greenlit with a more traditional thirteen episodes.
Breaking Bad showrunner Vince Gilligan will direct the first episode, but will share show-running duties with Peter Gould, also a Breaking Bad vet.
Now, if like me, you are very perturbed that Huell hasn't been mentioned anywhere, know that actor Lavell Crawford has been getting some interesting calls.
Guys, I'm excited as BEEP. Yes, BEEP. It's AMC, not HBO.
