Tecmo Koei continues its 'Never Be Without Zelda' motto. Today's update sees Link and Zelda getting some additional costumes for their Day One DLC.
Skyward Sword's Fi Announced For Hyrule Warriors
The screenshots can be found on the official site. It's a bit hard to tell exactly what is going on, as the site is in Japanese and makes absolutely no apologies about it. The previously announced DLC, which gives Link and Zelda their Twilight Princess digs, has been updated to include two new costumes, one per character that take their inspiration from the last iteration of the franchise, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
You will immediately notice the less realistic style of the costumes. A picture, after all, says a thousand words and when translation is impossible, one must rely only on what one sees. The release makes sense, as several Skyward Sword characters, such as Ghirahim and Fi have been added to the roster and rogue's gallery.
Hyrule Warriors Gets A Wealth Of Skyward Sword Extras
Both costumes are accessible, if we are to believe the site, via the Treasure Box DLC, though if previous announcements hold true, Link's costume will come with the regular game and Zelda's will only be accessed by purchasing the Treasure Box.
No word on pricing yet for either the Treasure Box or the Premium DLC, which has an as yet unreleased costume selection called 'Power' which can only refer to one thing: Ganondorf. Both will hit the Wii U as part of Nintendo's first ever Day One DLC.
Three costumes each are planned for the DLC. We have Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword costume extras. The previous console game in the series was the Gamecube's Wind Waker, which is seriously one of the best versions. A cel shaded, pint sized Link and Zelda hopping around a battlefield could be, dare I say, legendary?
Tell us what you hope for below in the comments. And if anyone can translate, that would be awesome.
