With great change comes great concern. The major patch that dropped last weekend on the Clash of Clans severs have gotten under everyone's skin, for better or worse. The game's creators, Supercell, are not immune to player criticism and feedback. Indeed, they have a very, very long thread devoted to changes. Does that mean they'll roll back the update?

No, no it does not. People get very attached to the specific version of a thing. Remember when Facebook did that massive update a year or two ago and we all demanded that they switch it back or else we'd /ragequit? Me, neither. Games are no longer a single, static entity like they were back in the 80s and 90s; they are tweaked, they are updated and they are made better.
Supercell mod Anoushka, with the patience of a saint, addressed some of the major concerns over the changes to the Barbarian King and Archer Queen units. The 'hero units' served as the bedrock of defense, but were too easily lured away from the city center and in lower levels, too easily killed. At higher levels, they were overpowered, and with the introduction of their abilities, were no longer a strategic force and more of an all-consuming hurricane.

What Supercell did with the update was tweak their abilities to offer up a more balanced game. This will force people to have to rethink how to approach the hero units, as the King & Queen are no longer predictable in the way they once were. Players will have to adapt, evolve. A game isn't fun if you know precisely how x or y is going to play out and that this one strategy will always work. A game needs challenge, and change.
Anoushka states, quite eloquently: "Changes implemented in the game always require adjustment from players and this might lead to some unsuccessful attempts at first, but don't be afraid to try it and figure out new strategies that work for you, the results after a while might surprise you."
Change is an inevitable part of life and doubly so of gaming. In a few months, when another nerf or tweak comes to the BK or AQ, we're all going to be wanting Supercell to keep them as they are.
