Hyrule Warriors Unveils New Screens Featuring Skyward Sword Content
So pack your things, find Fred Savage and Jenny Lewis and embark on an epic cross country road trip for your shot at Nintendo video game tournament immortality. On Friday, July 25, fans are invited to come to the Nintendo Gaming Lounge at the Marriott Marquis & Marina located at 333 W. Harbor Drive (adjacent to the San Diego Convention Center) for a chance to participate.
The tournament is first come, first serve, so as you pack your things, be sure to include a sleeping bag of some sort. One gets the feeling that the line for this thing will be out the door. Starting at noon, there will be a preliminary round in which groups of four competitors battle it out, with the winner advancing. During the finals, players will duke it out one-on-one to determine the top smasher.
Nintendo eShop Weekly Release 7/10/14
No prize information is available at this time. Much like the movie The Wizard this will serve more as a big commercial for Nintendo's upcoming, highly anticipated title and should prove interesting. Nobody has really gotten a chance to play it, so it will be interesting to see how fans handle the new characters and any new gameplay mechanics. For once, everyone should be fairly evenly matched.
If you can't make it to SDCC, Twitch will be streaming the tournament here.
Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 3DS launches this October. The Wii U version will be here just in time for Christmas.
