Shortbreak Studios is pleased to announce that Hellraid: The Escape has busted out onto your Apple devices today and is ready to be downloaded. And they brought along a new trailer to get you interested.
Nintendo eShop New Releases For 3DS And Wii U This Week
The only thing missing from the launch trailer are the guys from the band Hellraid, which obviously should be a thing. The trailer paints a world full of pain and desperation, of a prison locked outside of time and it is your job to escape. But unlike Hellraid's upcoming console cousin, you will not be given any weapons. No, in order for your soul to survive this ordeal, you have to outwit your captors and that means you're going to have to die a few times.
Hellraid: The Escape utilizes the Unreal Engine 4. We have arrived at the future, where PC quality graphics are now available on your phone. It's an impressive looking, severely atmospheric game that is part survival horror and part puzzle platform. Shortbreak looks to be emphasizing the 'horror' part quite a lot.
Path Of Exile Graphic Novel Adaptation Coming This Summer
The game serves as a sort of one-off tale set in the Hellraid universe. A more robust, action packed game is hitting the PS4 and Xbox One sometime next year from developer Techland. The game is a first person hack and slash and will support 4 player co-op, so bring some friends as you fight back the forces of darkness.
Hellraid: The Escape, though, is available right now for iOS devices. Only iPhone 4 and later generations and iPad 2 will be able to handle the graphics, so plan accordingly. You can download it on the App store here for $2.99. We'll be reviewing it real soon, just as soon as we can look at it with both eyes and not just one because we're covering the other.
