NBWZ. Never Be Without Zelda. That is clearly the motto Nintendo and Tecmo Koei are employing with regards to Hyrule Warriors, the upcoming Legend of Zelda/Dynasty Warriors mash-up.
Hyrule Warriors Gets Fi, From Skyward Sword
Every other day, it seems, a new character is released. Fi, Link's companion from Skyward Sword was announced yesterday and today, Tecmo has released a ton of new screens showing new levels, new weapons (the Big Ball is back!), Fi herself, as well as Ghirahim, one of the antagonists in Skyward Sword.
Even the Imprisoned, that weird nightmare beast from the Wii title will be making an appearance. At what point do we ask: alright, so who isn't in this game? And outside of Ghirahim and Link, we're going to run out of female protagonists before any more playable male characters are announced. Which I'm fine with.

The Famitsu article that revealed Fi also let slip how rupees would be used in the game. In addition to leveling up your character the old fashioned way, ie: hitting lots of things, a player can also pay rupees to advance. You can also upgrade badges, which help in combat and if you haven't noticed, there's quite a bit of that going on in Hyrule Warriors. Rupees should be no problem considering the abundance of them the good people of Hyrule just leave lying around, in the tall grass no less.
You can check out the screens using the slideshow buttons below. Hyrule Warriors hits Japan on August 14 and comes stateside on September 26.
