First Screens From Telltale's Tales From The Borderlands
*MINOR SPOILERS FOR PREVIOUS WOLF AMONG US EPISODES*
If nothing else, you can't fault The Wolf Among Us for any lack of atmospheric set pieces. The funeral of a troll prostitute is one of those things that really make you appreciate the thought that went into the world of Fabletown. Under a bridge (of course), some concrete bricks stacked together to form a crude altar, little mementos like hastily scribbled cards, some raggedy tallow candles and (most touchingly, in my honest opinion) a troll battle helmet. If any of you saw The Wire, you know which funeral it sort of reminded me of.
Game of Thrones Telltale Game Will Run Concurrently With Show, Feature Original Storyline
A lot of flak has been given to Telltale over not just Wolf but also The Walking Dead for your choices not really mattering as much as they like to tell you they do. I posit that plot influence doesn't really matter as much as game experience. Sure, your choices may be purely cosmetic in the end in terms of pure plot, but you're not going to tell me that acting like a good guy or an aggressive asshole doesn't make you feel differently when you play these types of games?
Ultimately, it's just up to the tales they're telling to see if they're worth your while. Gameplay is a minor component to these games - it's the emotional experience. Expect a review on this here very web site coming soon!
