The Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS details have been consistently coming from Nintendo ahead of the release of both versions, especially after an exciting E3. The game will be out on October 3 for 3DS and this holiday season on Wii U, though we'll likely have to wait for winter to approach for a specific release date.
Game Of Thrones Meets The World Cup With These Fan-Designed Kits
Nintendo revealed multiple new playable characters during and after its E3 Digital Event, introducing four fighters that include three Super Smash Bros debutants. It looks like Mr. Game & Watch is returning alongside newcomers Pac-man, Lady Palutena from Kid Icarus, and the customizable Mii Fighters.
There was a wide variety of information this week from the daily updates, and since Nintendo does not post on the weekend, it's a good time to review what we were shown over the last few days.
Did FIFA 14 Predict The Correct Result In The Netherlands-Mexico Game?
Series director Masahiro Sakurai, who's in charge of choosing what to post for the daily updates, revealed an alternate costume for Link that generated a lot of excitement. The outfit isn't just a change in color, but a replication of Link's clothes from Skyward Sword. This is fun for fans in itself, and also gives hope that alternate outfits for other characters will be more varied and interesting, rather than just palette swaps.
We also saw a new mini-game for the 3DS version of the game, which is a recreation of Balloon Fight for four players. There was also a small detail revealed about the Mushroom Kingdom U stage--the character Nabbit will interrupt the battle by capturing one of the players.
Finally (and probably most significantly) we learned more about the Mii Fighters, the newly revealed customizable characters. It turns out that the imported heights of the Miis will determine their fighting style--whether they're fast or slow characters. More details will be revealed next week, so keep checking back for Super Smash Bros information.
