Looking for something new to draw out Dead Trigger 2? Well, a new update is on the way, and developer Madfinger Games has just offered fans their first peek at it.
Madfinger Gets Political, Hosting Dead Trigger 2 Styled Zombie Elections
The above image popped up earlier today at the official Dead Trigger Facebook page. Don't take this as a direct confirmation, but going from the pic, it looks as though a new arena, weapon, and possibly even some new traps will be arriving courtesy of the 0.6.0 update. After a close look at the image, here's what we can assume:
* As the scoreboard and traps show, we're getting a new arena, which is exactly that - an abandoned stadium. Madfinger has kept up fairly well with world events, as noted by its own humorous take on the elections for European Parliament, and expanding missions into Ukraine. If you follow the developer via Facebook, you're aware the team are big soccer fans, and with the World Cup in full swing, if you factor all that together, the new arena is an abandoned soccer stadium. If that's the case, maybe a South America could be the next setting for the game's campaign?
I Have an Addiction, and It's Called Dead Trigger 2
* The zombie slaughtering protagonist looks to have landed himself a new weapon, specifically a rifle, and there's some interesting tubes leading out, or into the rifle's receiver, just outside of what appears to be a shiny red button. A great many fans are commenting that the new weapon could be a FAL, M249, or some variation of either, but we can't be sure.
* Traps like the explosive red barrel and springboard are still in place, but so too is a giant metal spike, complete with an impaled zombie. It's possible that this is just something to attract the eye, or, it could be a brand new trap.
The update is in its final phase of testing, but there's no word on when it's expected to arrive. Madfinger has promised to keep fans and players "informed about the next steps."
