To the thrill of the WWE Universe, the 2K Sports company appears to have upped the virtual wrestling ante once again with its upcoming release of WWE 2K15.
The highly successful publisher is currently promoting the game at the E3 Conference in Los Angeles, and rightfully garnering a positive response.
Via its highly noticeable red booth at the 2014 gaming industry venue, 2K Sports gave the fans and media a sneak peek at some of WWE 2K15's newest features.
While the buzz over which of Vince McMahon's superstars would be available for gameplay has continuously lingered, its promo art that lays just above 2K's booth features four of them: the legendary Hulk Hogan, current WWE poster boy John Cena, the sinister Bray Wyatt and "Paul Heyman guy" Cesaro.
However, in a short teaser displayed across the event screen, The Shield's Roman Reigns was also shown in fine graphic detail.
Also, Game Informer reported on June 10 that "side-by-side character models for wrestlers" such as "A.J. Lee and Daniel Bryan" in terms of their "hair, skin, faces, and ring gear" will show major improvements.
To top off the WWE 2K15 chatter, a Cena in-ring promo was shown, indicated that developers had raised the bar with more realistic facial expressions of tiredness, pain and excitement, according to the site.
Speaking of Cena, rumor has it that he may get the cover for WWE 2K15 after the company posted an image of the superstar gracing the upcoming game's cover on its Instagram account. The babyface wrestler was last on the game's photo art back in 2011.
To sweeten the squared-circle pot, one of its developers, Visual Concepts, is reportedly aiming towards more accurate match speeds. Hence, the game's improved concepts should undoubtedly give players an even more realistic experience than its predecessors.
Interesting to note, 2K still hasn't revealed what the theme of the game will be. Nonetheless, being that the development brass have continuously been effective in raising the bar, fans can expect nothing less than another hit.
WWE 2K15 is slated for release on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The game will be available on the PS3, PS 4, Xbox 360 and the XBox One consoles. Please be sure to check back with Gamenguide for all of its latest up-to-date info.
