Devolver Digital and Dennaton Games have released new gameplay footage from Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, the highly anticipated sequel to the only game influenced by Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive. What's more- it has a level editor.
Brutal Hotline Miami 2 Gameplay Video
That's right- when you get tired of the incredible stylized violence and dark synthpop soundtrack, you can create your own levels to torture your friends. You'll have access to every enemy and item that you'll find in the main game, laying out the level with as many rooms and weapons as you like. You can share your levels online, as well.
People can get really evil with it, too. "After intense negotiations Dennaton Games has agreed to let me create a level called Fork Parker's Mansion of Pain using the new Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number level editor," said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker. "One room is just seven dogs and a dude with an Uzi. Good luck, nerds."

The trailer also offers up a new soundtrack selection. For about a month of my life I once listened to nothing but the Hotline Miami and Drive soundtracks, one after the other. It was a very surreal and intense time, but I loved it.
This level editor seems designed with the PC version in mind but the game is coming out for the PS4 and Vita as well with cross-buy support, and is clearly one of the main things to take into consideration while deciding on a next-gen system. More as we hear it.
