Barnes & Noble and Samsung have announced a partnership to create a Galaxy-branded Nook tablet, which they expect to launch this August.

The hardware will be a 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook, the companies announced in a press release today. They are looking to combine Samsung's popular and well-received hardware with the software and reading experience of Barnes & Noble's Nook products.

The products will be sold at Barnes & Noble retail locations across the U.S., as well as online through the company's website. Samsung expressed its pleasure with the partnership as well, offering quotes from its perspective in the press release.
