With the 2014 World Cup quickly approaching, many companies are gearing up promotions and related content. Microsoft is no different, today announcing the Destination Brazil Xbox One app.
FIFA 14 World Cup Content Added For Free
Destination Brazil is aiming to be a comprehensive football experience that will let you watch matches live, comment on the games through social media, and follow along with an Xbox original story of real-life streetball players from around the world. The trailer giving an overview of what the app has to offer can be watched below.
The "BrazilNow" feature lets you watch games as they happen, enhanced with real time statistics on a side bar and notifications of match kick-offs. Optional poll questions will be asked on the side as well, and you can sign in to Twitter to keep track of what people are saying about the game.
Ultimate Team Players Of The Season Released For FIFA 14
The Xbox original series Every Street United will focus on 8 "undiscovered" international streetball players trying to make a name for themselves under the tutelage of famous players Thierry Henry and Edgar Davids. It will premiere on June 15, and a longer trailer specifically for that series can be viewed here.
The app also appears to let you launch FIFA 14 from within it (particularly promoting the new Ultimate Team World Cup content), which isn't hard to do on its own from the normal dashboard, but the idea is seemingly that the app should be your go-to place for a comprehensive football experience, whether you want to watch, play, or interact. The app will launch on Xbox One June 12.
