Sony has revealed two free games for Playstation Plus subscribers this week, and while PS4 owners have nothing to look forward to (not even any sales!) both PS3 and Vita owners get a free game each. Puppeteer and Surge Deluxe are yours to add to the Instant Game Collection for the cost of a subscription.

Both games have been well-reviewed, although they couldn't be different from each other. Puppeteer is a side-scroller that sees you playing a poor kid who's been turned into a puppet and decapitated, which allows him to swap heads (and powers) with heads he finds on the way, while Surge Deluxe is an intense puzzle game that cleverly utilizes the Vita's touchscreen. From the Playstation blog-
Puppeteer (PS3) - "One dark moonlit night, a young boy named Kutaro was carried away by the maleficent Moon Bear King to a black castle where the unlucky lad was transformed into a puppet. Kutaro displeased the terrible tyrant, who devoured the boy's wooden head and cast away his body. But the headless hero was not alone, for he had discovered a very special pair of scissors to help him on his harrowing adventure to find his head, and his way home."
Skullsgirls Encore Free For PS Plus Subscribers
Surge Deluxe (PS Vita) - "A new energy source provides humanity with enormous electrical power, but by-product materials build up fast, and must be constantly cleared to keep pressure levels in check. Shatter the dangerous by-products by routing electrical surges between matching blocks, and then vent pressure in huge blasts to buy you more time! Surge Deluxe puts sizzling electrical energy at your fingertips!"
Sadly there were no sales announced this week, which is a strange event indeed. Every week Sony usually features one or more sales, which a PS Plus subscription only contributes to, usually offering you even lower prices on already-low discounts.
Just consider it a week to regroup and play all of those free games you've been steadily getting, I suppose! Check out Puppeteer in action below.
