Evidently, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire aren't the only new Pokémon games on the way. There's a forthcoming title serving as a tie-in to the upcoming Pokémon movie, "Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction," and at a bargain of a price. Namely, free.
Japanese Moviegoers Get Diancie and Darkrai When They Watch 'Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction'
The Band of Thieves & 1000 Pokémon was officially revealed by Japanese mag "CoroCoro," and according to a translation, the game is set to hit the eShop in June as a free downloadable title for the 3DS. The catch? At the moment, it's only been announced for Japan. No word on the game eventually making its way across the waters to Europe, North America, or any other areas.
Not much is known about the title, save for the fact that pokémon will be collected by using the handheld's StreetPass feature, and used to battle the titular thieves, the same that appear in the upcoming movie. How else the game ties into the movie hasn't yet been revealed, but will be explored further in the next issue.

As for the movie, "Cocoon of Destruction" hits Japanese theaters this summer. The movie involves a showdown between the titular legendaries of the latest games, Yveltal and Xerneas, as opposing forces representing destruction and life respectively, and introduces Diancie, the latest Pokémon, who's expected to hit Pokémon X and Y sometime after the movie's release.
A dual-type rock and fairy, the new legendary pocket monster is capable of producing a massive amount of diamonds instantaneously by compressing air between its hands, and hurling them at enemies. The 719th pokémon comes pre-loaded with Diamond Storm, Moonblast, Reflect, and Return moves. Head here to see Diancie in action, and a fairly confusing trailer for the movie below.
