E3 is coming up fast and furious, and it sounds like EA is going to have some huge announcements at the show.
Dragon Age Inquisition Release Date and Trailer Emerge
In another bit of news from EA's earnings call yesterday, the company announced that it will be bringing six brand new projects to the mecca of gaming this year. IGN has the details:
"During EA's quarterly earnings call today, Chief Executive Officer Andrew Wilson noted that of the six new projects to be unveiled, one will be powered by the Frostbite engine and is slated for a Q3 release.
Former Uncharted Writer Amy Hennig Will Head a Big EA Star Wars Game Project
"While anything is on the table, a next-gen game running on Frostbite and slated for the holiday season could be indicative of a new Battlefield. Rumors have been swirling for some time that EA-owned Visceral Games has been working on a new entry in the Battlefield franchise themed around police forces."
OK, honestly though, forget Battlefield, I could really go for some Battlefront. As in, the Star Wars Battlefront reboot that was announced last year after EA obtained the rights to all Star Wars video games. DICE is developing the game, meaning that they will more than likely be using their own Frostbite engine designed for Battlefield.
EA also has another new Star Wars game on the way with the Amy Hennig-led team at the helm, so it's entirely possible that we could see not one but two Star Wars game announcements at E3.
EA also mentioned that they will have previously-announced projects The Sims 4 and Dragon Age Inquisition with them at the show, and that they will be showing off a next-gen PGA golf sim.
