Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS details and updates continue to roll in from Nintendo ahead of E3, where we will hopefully get an exact release date. Right now, we know the title will be coming to 3DS this summer, while the Wii U version looks set for a winter release.

We'll likely get a specific date next month at E3, where Nintendo will be holding a live Super Smash Bros. tournament. For now, the daily updates from the game's official website is our best source of information. Series director Masahiro Sakurai posts a new picture from the game each day, revealing a previously unseen character, level, item, or game mechanic.
Today, Sakurai has revealed what appears to be some enemy characters from the game's singleplayer mode. The screenshot is from the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros., and his accompanying description is as follows:
"Pic of the day. Members of the Enemies That Love to Hide Association, here are Octorok and Met. Calmly grab them while they're ducking."

Sakurai is making a bit of a joke with that title, referencing the gameplay mechanics those characters display in their native titles. Mettaur, an enemy from the Mega Man series and Octorok from The Legend of Zelda both like to take cover and hide themselves in their respective titles, making it difficult for the player to damage them.
That behavior will be mimicked in Super Smash Bros., but this time will apparently allow you to grab hold of the enemies--they can likely be thrown as a weapon, too. Stay tuned to us for more Super Smash Bros. details as they continue to be announced, and keep an eye out for a surprise release date announcement before E3.
