'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' DLC Will Be Early Access Exclusive To Microsoft Once Again

Xbox Owners Will Be Getting The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC First

If you're a PS4 owner and you were hoping that PS4's sales lead over the Xbox One might lead to Sony getting early access to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's DLC instead of Microsoft, your heart is about to be broken.

Microsoft announced today via the Xbox Wire that their exclusivity agreement will be continuing with the Call of Duty franchise for at least one more title:

"Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, developed by Sledgehammer Games (co-developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3), harnesses the first three-year, all next-gen development cycle in franchise history, and again brings all add-on content first to Xbox."

So, there you have it. Looks like PS3 and PS4 owners are going to need to wait that extra month for their new maps once again with Advanced Warfare. This isn't overly surprising, since Microsoft and Activision have had a similar agreement going for years, including last year's Call of Duty: Ghosts.
