Remember that episode of Spongebob where they found a magic pencil and drew a doodle that came to life and tried to kill them all?
Well, good news, we're getting closer and closer to recreating that in real life with 3D printing pens. The latest entry into the 3D printing pen line is Lix Pen, and it essentially lets you draw sculptures.
"Lix 3D pen is a dream coming true," the item's Kickstarter page states. "With Lix 3D Pen you can create anything from small to big, from details to prototypes. It allows you to express your creativity on a whole new level. We are changing the world's view on 2D as we are now giving the possibility to make your creations in 3D in an never-been-so-easy way!"
Basically, you plug the pen in, insert a filament, and just start drawing in air. The results are pretty awesome looking - everything from a detailed 3D picture of a woman to a 3D model.
All of the early bird deals are gone (they always are), but you can secure your very own for $135. Just don't get the magic pen that makes your doodles literally come to life. Check out the Kickstarter video below and let us know what you would draw with a 3D printing pen.
