If you're looking to upgrade your PC battle station before Watch Dogs' release next month, your timing couldn't have been better. Tech manufacturer Nivida has announced that customers in certain countries who purchase select graphics cards will earn themselves a digital copy of the game for their trouble. Looks like that delay wasn't so bad after all, huh?
There's plenty of card to chose from for which the offer is good. To quote Nvidia's legal mumbo jumbo, "the offer is for GeForce GTX 660, 660 Ti, 670, 680, 690, 760, 770, 780, 780 Ti or TITAN Black graphics cards only." If you had your eye on any other card, well, that's just unfortunate.
My personal recommendation? Considering that the Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 ti (GT500, GT600, GT700 series) is what's been recommended directly by Ubisoft, so I'd go with that. Pricey, but not nearly as costly as a limited piece of fine leather craftmanship. Bottom line - Consult the specs and you'll be fine.
Fair warning though, even if buy the card now, you'll obviously still have to wait until the game's release to play, digital copy or not, but buying early is encouraged. Case in point, Amazon specifies a waiting period of "7-10 business days after the product ships" before they'll send out an e-mail containing the redemption code.
Rules and methods on redeeming the provided code to get the game vary country to country, so make sure to select your choice hunk 'o dirt here for the appropriate procurement instructions.
Watch Dogs releases on PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One May 27. A Wii U version is expected in the fall.
