The launch trailer (and the game itself) for Bandai Namco's second foray into the free-to-play genre is out now, and there's some obviously "large" "aspects" that are hard to miss, and I'm not referring to the characters' gigantic...um...weapons.

The trailer offers a peek (and then some) at five of the game's characters: Siegfried, Sophitia, Mitsurugi, Ivy, and Taki, a little more than half of the game's roster, leaving out Princess Hildegard Von Krone, Nightmare, Pyrrha, Astaroth, and Heishiro. It all starts off simply enough with Siegfried, but it gets a little more..."obvious" after that, starting with the "virtuous holy warrior" Sophitia's entrance right at the :18 mark.

If I didn't know any better, I'd swear that Bandai Namco had just hired someone from Crytek solely for their lack of experience with lady parts.

Granted, this isn't something unique to Soulcalibur as a series, or even Bandai Namco as a whole. The previous game in the series, Soucalbur V, was the subject of a bit of controversy for its...well..."eye catching" advertisements even before the game came out.

Namco's first free-to-play fighter, Tekken Revolution, caused its own hullaballoo (my apologies if the language is getting too technical) when it was revealed that the game's latest character, a femme fatale vampire character, had the unique skill of having her bust engorge whenever she "fed" on opponents.

There was enough of a calamity over the bloodsucker's backbreaking tata transformation that series director Katsuhrio Harada took to TwitLonger to share some of his thoughts, writing, "

"At present, I do not accept the reaction of the player about her, Because She was elected by the player. In this case, It is meaningless to express an opinion only to me."

Lost Swords characters (and attire) are clearly a little more "relaxed," and the absence of a character with a double "de"nature will keep things from "blowing up" to Revolution "proportions." If anything will do that, it'll be the game's decision to forego traditional one-on-one fighting and focus on completing missions.
