A new trailer for developer Marvelous' "Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma" has been released as pre-orders for the game's Collector's Edition have opened up.

The latest entry in the franchise was originally announced recently and is set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on May 30, 2025. It boldly reimagines the iconic action RPG and life-simulation series in a unique way.

New Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Trailer

"Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma" gives players a chance to go on a brand new adventure within the never-before-seen eastern country of Azuma. They will be in control of Earth Dancer powers and are tasked with fighting against the corruption that is spreading throughout the region.

You can choose to play as one of two protagonists whose destinies are connected by mysterious forces unseen by human eyes. Players can make use of sacred treasures to battle against the Blight's different forms to restore the people and even gods to their natural glory, according to Gematsu.

The farming feature in "Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma" lets players manage more than just a plot of land. They will be able to rebuild entire villages and cultivate new allies and resources throughout their adventures.

The game also lets you explore seasonal-themed villages that were heavily inspired by traditional Japanese culture. Each of these feature brand-new festivals and revamped fan-favorites, including charming romance candidates.

Various Other Bonuses

There are two physical editions for the Nintendo Switch version of "Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma." The Earth Dancer Limited Edition quickly sold out but has since restocked at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart, Game Spot said.

This particular edition of the game includes a variety of bonuses on top of the Standard Edition. These are a Woolby character plush keychain, an art book, an official soundtrack on CD, a traditional Japanese folding fan, the Seasons of Love DLC bundle along with downloadable Woolby Costumes, and a custom box with unique cover art.

In "Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma," players must contend with the Celestial Collapse, which is a calamity that was caused by a colossal object crashing into Azuma itself. This sent fragments of terrain to the skies and seas.

Now that the earth has shattered, the power that was provided by the runes has ceased to flow. Soon after this, the gods of nature have all but vanished into thin air. The mountains also crumbled and fields withered, leaving humanity with nothing, according to Go Nintendo.
