NetEase Games is reportedly planning to release two new heroes for "Marvel Rivals" every six weeks, as discussed by game director Guangyun Chen.
The news comes shortly after the arrival of the game's Season 1 that introduced the Fantastic Four family of heroes. These are Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Thing, and the Human Torch.
Marvel Rivals To Add New Heroes Regularly
On top of the four playable characters, the new season also brings Dr. Doom and Dracula together to bring an eternal night to the game. Additionally, the update brings three new maps, special events, and a new Doom Match game mode.
Chen recently said that every season, NetEase Games will be rolling out fresh seasonal stories, new maps, and new heroes for players to try out. He added that they will be breaking down each season into two parts. One season will last approximately three months and each half will bring a new hero, according to the Video Games Chronicle.

The game director added that the development team just wants to continue to enhance players' gaming experience with "Marvel Rivals." They are also keen on keeping everyone in the community excited about the game.
Chen also talked about how NetEase Games is approaching picking new heroes for "Marvel Rivals." He said that the choice of heroes is guided by the overall gameplay experience or theme that they want to bring for every season of the game.
What's the Plan Moving Forward?
Fans are now wondering who the studio will add next to the game, as the latest pair to arrive are Mr. Fantastic and The Invisible Woman. On the other hand, The Thing and the Human Torch will be added in the next few weeks in the second half of Season 1, IGN said.
Some of the rumors claim that Blade is one of the characters that could make his way to "Marvel Rivals" in Season 2. Additionally a lot of people are hoping for other heroes, such as Daredevil, Deadpool, and many X-Men characters.
A recent leak courtesy of behind-the-scenes datamining suggests that more mutants are coming to the hero shooter sometime in the future. These could include Cyclops, Professor X, Colossus, and Jia Jing.
The latter is a lesser known figure in the X-Men universe who is an insect-based mutant. The main reason why a lot of people believe she will be added is because she is Chinese, just like NetEase Games, so there's some form of representation being added there, according to Forbes.
