Epic Games just added the virtual musical artist Hatsune Miku to "Fortnite" with brand new content, including a skin, accessories, emotes, and music packs.

This is arguably one of the most anticipated collaborations for the battle royale in quite a long time. This is at least based on the more than 200,000 tweets about the update that talks about the icon's arrival to "Fortnite."

Fortnite Introduces Hatsune Miku Content

Hatsune Miku has already gone live in the shop changeover and her arrival comes with two main packs. These are a 3,2000 V-bucks pack that features nine items, including her skin, which also has a reactive version.

If you want to, you can also buy the Hatsune Miku skin separately for 1,500 V-bucks. Additionally, there is also a Music Pass version that lets players unlock 10 different rewards, including an alternate outfit. The pass will cost you 1,400 V-bucks, according to Forbes.

The main reason why Hatsune Miku coming to "Fortnite" is a big deal is that she is a classic virtual music artist and is arguably the first major name in that field. She came even before the metaverse and artificial intelligence.

Hatsune Miku is a piece of Vocaloid software that previously performed various holographic concerts worldwide in front of massive audiences of real-life people. The character was born in 2007 and has since garnered millions of fans over the years.

Various Rewards and Goodies

One thing to note about the latest collaboration is that if you want to get the Hatsune Miku skins in the Music Pass, you have to be a premium user. The free tier will not have any of these iconic cosmetics, Eurogamer said.

However, players who are not too keen on spending real money on the Music Pass will still get some nice rewards from the free tier. These include a loading screen, several jam tracks, an emote, and the Shatter Sonic guitar.

While the entirety of the Hatsune Miku bundle costs 3,200 V-bucks, players have the option of buying selected items if they do not prefer to get everything in the package. Additionally, every item you purchase here will mean that the bundle will have a reduced price in accordance with what you already own.

The Music Pass will be available until Apr. 8, 2025, which gives players enough time to save up enough if they are looking to get the premium rewards based on the iconic virtual music artist, according to Games Radar.
