A new update for "Call of Duty: Warzone" is being criticized by players as it is apparently causing major issues for the game, such as for multiplayer matchmaking.

"Call of Duty: Warzone" has been a big hit with fans of the franchise since it was released and the battle royale has been getting a variety of updates since 2020. The game's popularity peaked during the coronavirus pandemic but has managed to maintain its player base.

Call of Duty: Warzone Update

The latest patch for the battle royale was designed to only fix some of the game's lingering bugs and issues. It was able to address the loading crash issue and many other minor problems that players have been experiencing.

However, the new update may have also accidentally resulted in some brand new issues that Activision needs to work on. One user on X noted that the patch has been causing matchmaking issues in the game as well as causing problems with Ranked Play mode, according to Game Rant.

It seems like Ranked Play in "Call of Duty: Warzone" has various issues, such as players being under the map and Buy Station. The problems are considered serious as the Ranked Play mode is considered to be very competitive.

Additionally, there has been no acknowledgement from the studios regarding the issues, but many believe that Activision is already aware of the problems. They are also hoping that the publisher will roll out a fix sooner rather than later.

Various New Issues

On top of "Call of Duty: Warzone," the latest update also caused some serious issues with "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6." Some players have been getting errors tied to game crashing and other, much bigger problems, Comic Book said.

Other people also reported experiencing issues with item models and bullet trajectory while trying to play either game. The latest patch is now available across all platforms that both "Call of Duty" titles are playable on.

The bug fixes that the latest patch introduced include an issue where loading screens were making some players experience freezing or crashing. There was also an issue with bullet trajectory on the AMR Mod 4 that was addressed, along with many others.

A lot of players have recently been criticizing "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6" due to the myriad of bugs, false bans, and prevalence of cheaters. All of these factors combined have caused the game to lose a large number of its players since the holidays last year, according to Insider Gaming.
