With a new year comes new opportunities for video game studios to make various announcements for exciting news and projects, including "Pokemon" Day 2025.

Fans of the long-running franchise are eagerly waiting for any events similar to previous celebrations in the years that have passed. It is expected that "Pokemon" Day 2025, similar to its predecessors, will provide new information about the games in the series that have been released and are coming.

Pokemon Day 2025

During the "Pokemon" Presents 2024, fans got news regarding "Pokemon GO," "Pokemon TCG," and "Pokemon Legends: Z-A." These were some of the biggest reasons why people got excited about the series at the time.

But this year is already shaping up to be just as exciting as it has already been dubbed by The "Pokemon" Center as the "Year of the Eevee." Another thing is that fans are eagerly waiting for "Pokemon Legends: Z-A," which is expected to come out in 2025, according to Dexerto.

So far, there are some things that fans know about "Pokemon" Day 2025, such as it taking place on Feb. 27, 2025. On this day, all active mobile games related to the franchise are expected to run various events.

Additionally, fans expect that on this day, there will be big news dropped via streams and announcements on social media platforms. The "Pokemon" Company has not officially confirmed anything yet, but it is highly likely that there will be a "Pokemon" Presents event.

A Good Year for Pokemon

There was also a leak that suggests there is a second mainline "Pokemon" game that could be released this year on top of "Pokemon Legends: Z-A." Take this with a grain of salt but the leaker provided evidence of their claim, Game Rant said.

While it is unusual for the franchise to have two mainline games released in the same year, it comes as the series skipped 2024, and the Nintendo Switch 2 is rumored to come out soon. This means that there is much credence to having as many games for the "Pokemon" franchise this year as there could be.

On top of the potential celebrations this year, the fact that The "Pokemon" Center dubbed 2025 as the Year of the Eevee already has many fans hyped up. The company is set to release a variety of goodies and merchandise relating to the adorable little creature.

So far, three figures are available for purchase on the company's official website, which are modeled after Eevee's primary evolutions. Another thing that got fans hyped up is that The "Pokemon" Center teased potential new evolutions for Eevee sometime in the future, according to Screen Rant.
