CD Projekt Red released "The Witcher III: The Wild Hunt" in 2015, which featured a ton of challenging bosses that tested players' abilities and skills.
One of the bosses that players can encounter in their adventures is the mighty Cloud Giant during the Fablesphere questline. This massive enemy is a monstrous Ogroid who was originally a humble inhabitant of the sky castle in the Land of Thousand Fables.
This guide teaches players everything they need to know in order to prepare for the Cloud Giant boss fight. It also gives out some useful tips and tricks that could help you take down this mighty beast yourself.
The Cloud Giant
The first thing you should know about the Cloud Giant is that it has a weakness in specific elements and substances. Geralt's silver sword with Ogroid Oil will deal additional damage to the beast.
Additionally, the boss is very weak in the fire element, which means that using Igni Sign and Dancing Star Bombs will cause a lot of damage. The good thing about the bombs is that they can be crafted, according to Screen Rant.

Fighting the Cloud Giant
When you start the fight with the boss, the Cloud Giant will dive into the mist below the arena to try and strike you with a surprise attack. You will have to be wary of where the boss could come out from and dodge the attack.
The boss primarily uses melee attacks and moves fairly slowly around the arena, which makes it easy to dodge direct hits. You should take advantage of every moment the Cloud Giant is above the clouds to deal as much damage as you can.
You can also use your Crossbow to attack the boss from a distance, and you have the chance to insta-kill it if you hit it directly on its eye. This is easier said than done as the beast's eye is a tricky target to hit, The Gamer said.
One recommendation is to make use of the metal beacons that have been struck by lightning before attacking the boss to stun him. You have to lure the Cloud GIant to the beacons and make it hit it with its cloud-leaping attack.
Do these consistently while dodging his attacks, and you will make quick work of this mighty foe in "The Witcher III: The Wild Hunt." While Syanna is here with you, she will not be of much help as she does not aggro the boss and does not deal significant damage.
After beating the boss, you will notice a will-o-the-wisp on the bridge to the castle. If you follow it off the side of the bridge, you will find a silver sword that you can use for yourself, according to Game Rant.
