Many players may have noticed that ARK: Survival Evolved is no longer available for purchase on the Play Store and has been replaced by ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition.

The former has not gotten new updates in quite a while, which means that it has become incompatible with the latest Android versions. The new free-to-play version, which is very similar to the original title, comes alongside a release trailer.

ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition

The footage offers a good look at what players can expect to see from ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition. At the game's core, it is still a survival crafting experience that features dinosaurs you can tame and ride.

The game will also have two expansion packs in tow, Scorched Earth and Aberration, which will both be available at launch. It was said that ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition will also get the Extinction, Genesis Parts 1 & 2, and Ragnarok expansions sometime next year, according to Yahoo.

The mobile port is being developed by Grove Street Games, which detailed that ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition will also launch on the mobile Epic Games Store in the future. The game's wide release with planned expansion updates could ideally mean that the game will have a strong foundation of support from the developer.

This is something that is particularly important as ARK: Survival Evolved had a fairly poor reputation because of its bad graphical performance. The fact that the former game was removed from the Play Store is not a good sign for those looking forward to the new game.

Going Back To Its Roots

The game serves as a massive mobile dino-adventure title that will get more content in the future, promising thousands of gameplay hours. The revealed trailer showed some key features of ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition that was also in the PC and console versions, WCCFTech said.

ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition will have massive worlds for players to explore, and it will have more than 150 dinosaurs and creatures they can encounter. It will also have multiplayer tribe dynamics that let them partner up with their friends.

The game's latest trailer shows that the game is going back to its survival roots and highlights how amazing it looks on mobile devices. It will feature key crafting and building mechanics that made the original so popular.

When players start up the game, they will find themselves stranded on the shores of an island and will have to build shelter and gather food to survive. Another thing they need to do is fend off any dinosaurs or dangerous creatures that are lurking about, according to Screen Rant.
