Developer Alpha Channel announced that its roguelite vehicle exploration game TankHead is now available on PC via the Epic Games Store with a 17% discount.
One of the main features of the game is pitting players against other tanks or mechs, which, when destroyed, can be scavenged for parts using a drone and equipped on your own unit. You drive through a desolate sci-fi landscape that acts as the main battlefield.
TankHead Now Available at a Discount
TankHead has been in development for a few years now, prior to its big reveal during the Day Of The Devs stream. Shortly after it was revealed, the game also launched and is currently only available on the Epic Game Store.
The store page for the game says that players are put in the role of Whitaker, whose task is to fight to reach Highpoint. In order to accomplish this, you need to traverse the ECA, which is an area where humans are not able to survive, according to Rock Paper Shotgun.
Whitaker must project his mind into a Needle, which is a robust drone capable of moving through the harsh conditions of the ECA. You also get to pilot your own Tank through the desolate landscape.

The game requires players to use their Needle and Tank to engage in battle with other vehicles and creatures of the ECA as they travel to the Highpoint. The game's tank combat allows you to be tactical.
The world of TankHead is a rich and detailed science-fiction environment that has been torn apart by war and a mysterious cataclysmic event. Humans have been forced to "tele-project" their minds to control drones to scavenge, Gematsu said.
A Tank-Themed Roguelite
The game features fast-paced tank combat where you can equip your vehicle with various armor, weapons, wheels, motors, and abilities. These let you customize your gameplay however you want.
Missions in TankHead culminate in desperate, high-stake fights with opposing war machines that are known as the titular TankHeads. Your survival will depend on more than just brute force; you have to be strategic in order to come out the victor.
You can expose your enemies' weak points during combat. When you see these, you can strike with lethal precision to deliver devastating damage. Every decision matters in TankHead, as the cleaner you finish a fight, the more valuable loot you can scavenge from enemies.
The core feature of the game is its distinct tank warfare system, which allows you to control both the body and turret of your vehicle. You also need to maneuver the battlefield to keep your unit's armor facing the enemy and keep vulnerable motors from being damaged, according to Capsule Computers.
