Players try to uncover a particular exploit using Doctor Strange's portal spell ability in Marvel Rivals that is making the character somewhat overpowered.

The issue comes as Doctor Strange's Pentagram of Farallah can trick enemy players to jump off cliffs to their instant demise. Some players were surprised to find that after a match began, their teammates were suddenly gone.

Doctor Strange's Portal Exploit

Doctor Strange's portal allows him to create an entrance and exit point that can be used to help allies travel to flank areas or toward an objective. Players can see and walk through the portal in a way similar to Valve's Portal titles.

What makes this ability overpowered is that the portal can be placed pretty much anywhere. This has led to many Doctor Strange mains to place an exit towards a cliff and the entrance at the door of the enemy team's spawn.

While it can be quite obvious to players who know what they're doing, some people can still be caught off-guard by the portals. This is particularly true if they are placed in a way that makes them look like another surface, according to PCGamer.

A lot of people are actually praising this particularaspect of NetEase Games' 6v6 hero shooter as it is a testament to what fans love about the genre. These are playful and flexible abilities that, while sometimes overpowered, urge players to experiment to see what is possible.

There is a similar character in Marvel Rivals that has the potential to wipe an entire team by chugging them off a cliff. This is Jeff the Land Shark, whose ultimate ability lets him gobble enemy heroes and barf them in the direction of his choosing.

Marvel Rivals' Popularity

The fact that Doctor Strange can use his Pentagram of Farallah ability before the start of a match lets him earn ultimate charge during the countdown. Despite the fun chaos that the ability has created, a lot of players are now asking for a fix to the exploit, Game Rant said.

Marvel Rivals opened to massively positive reviews and is a contributor to how Steam was able to break its concurrent player record recently. Many players believe that the game should retain its essence of having pure, unadulterated fun.

Every single character feels vastly different in how they play, which makes the roster of 33 heroes feel as immersive as they are unique. What makes Marvel Rivals even better is that it is relatively easy to pick up and play, according to Inverse.
