Rocksteady Studios just announced that it would be ending continued support for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League following Season 4.
This means that the troubled game will no longer get new content but will instead get an offline mode as well as a new playable character in the form of Deathstroke. This will make the game's story still playable offline and can still be played with friends in co-op mode.
End of Support for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
The developer is also planning to make previous season content available within the game itself. The studio is also making the game available for purchase, adding that the in-game story will still be functional even after Season 4. Players will still be able to use their LutherCoin currency.
Rocksteady Studios did not detail exactly how long it would keep Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League online after the release of the last new content. The game struggled with a Mixed rating summary on Steam when it came out in February 2024, according to IGN.

Some players said that the game was frustrating to play despite some parts of it being relatively fun and enjoyable. The combat was able to carry it through good DC comic stories that were beautifully designed.
It then underperformed on the commercial end, causing a double-digit decline in revenue for Warner Bros. gaming. Sucide Squad: Kill the Justice League joins other titles that have failed to make a positive impact this year, such as Concord and XDefiant.
A Commercial Failure
Other players said that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was too repetitive for its own good and was not able to shake up the formula throughout its content. Reviews remained to be partially negative despite the addition of new characters such as The Joker and Mrs. Freeze, The Gamer said.
One of the more notable downfalls of the game was when there were fewer than 250 players during the initial launch of Season 3. While it saw a surge in players recently, this was more due to recent discounts.
Episode 8, which is the game's conclusion, is scheduled to be released on Jan. 14, 2025, and will include the final battle between players and antagonist Brainiac. The villain has been the main evildoer in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League for the past year.
The studios did not reveal any other characters planned for the game after Deathstroke, but datamining efforts suggested that players could have seen the arrival of Katana and Killer Croc as playable characters, according to Polygon.
