Developer Warhorse Studios just announced that it was moving up the release date for Kingdom Come Deliverance II due to overcrowding.
The overcrowding is due to several high-profile games being released in close proximity from Feb. 11, 2025. These titles are Assassin's Creed Shadows on Feb. 14, 2025, Avowed on Feb. 18, 2025, and Monster Hunter Wilds on Feb. 28, 2025.
Kingdom Come Deliverance II
Kingdom Come Deliverance II is now set to launch in full on Feb. 4, 2025, which is an entire week earlier than the original date. The developer also revealed that there will be a new story trailer coming out on Dec. 5, 2024.
Public relations manager Tobi Stolz-Zwilling revealed the new release date and explained that the game is now in its final stretches of optimization. This means that Warhorse Studios will eventually show the PC and console specs for Kingdom Come Deliverance II.
The game will have performance and quality modes for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions. Another noteworthy feature of Kingdom Come Deliverance II is that it will be PlayStation 5 Pro enhanced, according to Game Spot.

Stolz-Zwilling did not provide specific details as to why the developer decided to move Kingdom Come Deliverance II's release date. The only reason he gave was so that players can "start 2025 with the best game there is."
The original release for Kingdom Come Deliverance II, Feb. 11, 2025, was announced after several delays. Warhorse Studios is not the only developer to move the release date of its game to avoid the high-profile titles in February 2025.
A Packed February 2025
The first game in the franchise was released in 2018 and was described as a fun historical RPG for its time. This has led to hopes for the sequel being high as fans are looking forward to what Warhorse Studios has in store for the community, PCGamer said.
Two other powerhouse games that are set to come out in February next year are Civilization VII on Feb. 11, 2025, and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on Feb. 26, 2025. All of these suggest that early next year is going to be a fight to attract players.
Warhorse Studios apparently incorporated various elements into Kingdom Come Deliverance II that they were not able to realize at the time of the first game. This was primarily due to various constraints.
Kingdom Come Deliverance II is said to have roughly five hours of cutscenes. This is two hours more than its predecessor. The sequel also features a game world that is about twice the size of the first game, according to 80lv.
