Developer Devolver Digital announces the unfortunate delay of three games; Baby Steps, Stick It To The Stickman, and Skate Story.
The titles in question will now have a 2025 release window and the news came in a mock awards show known as The 15th Annual Devolver Delayed Awards 2024. Last year, Stick It To The Stickman and Skate Story were also part of the Devolver Delayed Showcase.
Devolver Digital Delays 3 Games
This was held in August 2023 and saw the two games having their 2023 release window pushed back to 2024. The studio's website described Stick It To The Stickman as a roguelike brawler that is filled with high-impact, physics-based combat.
The publisher also said that Skate Story lets players grind their way through the ash and smoke of the Underworld. This is as they take on a seemingly impossible quest where they have to destroy demons and save tortured souls, according to the Video Games Chronicle.

Baby Steps on the other hand is a game for PC and PlayStation 5 that sees players taking control of Nate. The character is an unemployed failson who has nothing going for him in life until he discovers a power he never knew he had, which is walking.
The other titles that Devolver Digital included in last year's fake awards were The Plucky Squire, Anger Foot, and Pepper Grinder. Many fans are at least praising the publisher for giving developers the time they need to work on their games to meet industry standards.
Fake Awards Show
This comes as many other companies are forcing and rushing their developers to put out games that are either incomplete or filled with bugs. The latter is done all for the sake of turning a profit from the projects as soon as possible, Polygon said.
Devolver Digital also showed on its website that there are a variety of ongoing projects that have yet to get official launch dates. These are Professor(s), Tenjutsu, Human Fall Flat 2, and Forestrike.
The publisher's fake awards also showed a fourth award, known as Best Color Version Of A Monochromatic Classic. This is where Devolver Digital showed off Volvy's Adventure DC.
The studio also shared a brief gameplay teaser. The footage showed an 8-bit side-scrolling platformer that stars the company's rat-like mascot.
However, the presentation never actually confirms the existence of the game itself. Creator Daniel Mullins also had an inscription that said he "doesn't even think it's a real game," according to Game Spot.
