Players have a lot of stuff they can craft in Enshrouded that can help them in a variety of ways, including the mighty Grappling Hook.
This particular tool is arguably one of the most crucial items that you can keep with you as it is very versatile. It is a traversal gadget that lets you explore more of the game's world with ease. The Souls of the Frozen Frontier update also lets you use it as a weapon in combat.
This guide teaches players the basics of how they can get their hands on their own Grappling Hook through crafting. There are also tips on how you can upgrade this tool to make it much stronger and more efficient.
How To Craft the Grappling Hook
In order to craft this tool in Enshrouded, you will have to build a Workbench first. You will need to also build a Flame Altar, which requires five pieces of Stone. A Workbench can be crafted using three pieces of String and eight pieces of Wood logs, according to Sportskeeda.
String can be made using three pieces of Plant Fibers each, which totals 21 pieces for a Workbench. Wood logs can be acquired by simply chopping down the many trees that you find across the world.

You can now gather the items for a Grappling Hook, which are four pieces of Metal Scraps, seven pieces of String, and 10 Shroud Spres. You can scavenge the first from towns and villages that have been abandoned.
The latter can be found as a drop by enemies that are located in Shroud-affected areas. The recipe for the Grappling Hook can be acquired after you collect your first set of Shroud Spores from enemies.
Upgrading the Grappling Hook
You can acquire a better version of this tool as you follow the Alchemist's questline. The recipe for the upgraded Grappling Hook is a reward for the Investigate The Troubling Rumors quest in the Springlands, Rock Paper Shotgun said.
This version of the tool uses less stamina and you can also activate it at longer distances from a grapple point. The materials needed are one Shroud Core, two pieces of Shroud Liquid, three pieces of Shroud Spores, and the basic Grappling Hook.
Tips on Using the Grappling Hook
While you have the Grappling Hook, you can go to your inventory and equip it to take advantage of its benefits. The good thing about this is that it does not take up a slot in your inventory because it has its own dedicated spot.
To use the Grappling Hook, you need to find areas that show you a specific interaction prompt for this tool in particular. When you find one, you can press the button to pull yourself up or start swinging while attached to the grappling point, according to Games Radar.
