Niantic just announced a new event for Pokemon GO known as the Wild Area that will feature the debut of what is known as Mighty Pokemon.
These Pokemon are a new type of rare and powerful wild creatures that players can encounter at a higher level than typical wild Pokemon. Mighty Pokemon also have much better IV values and are guaranteed to have at least 13/13/13 IV.
Pokemon GO's Mighty Pokemon
These new Pokemon will be first encountered during the Pokemon GO Wild Area 2024: Fukuoka, Japan event. It is so far unclear where or not Might Pokemon will be available to players following the conclusion of that event.
One of the traits of Mighty Pokemon is that they can be caught in the level 40 to level 45 range if they are not weather-boosted. If the latter is in effect, then they will be caught in the level 45 to level 50 range, according to Pokemon GO Hub.

Mighty Pokemon will appear as fully evolved versions and can also be caught in their shiny forms. Another thing to note is that these Pokemon have a higher chance to be XL or XXL when players catch them.
During the catch minigame, Mighty Pokemon are said to be much more aggressive compared to other Pokemon. All of their traits make these Pokemon a lot harder to capture, making the use of Golden Razz Berries a recommendation.
The Wild Area Event
The developer also plans to debut 20 Mighty Pokemon during the event in Japan and will include pseudo-legendary Pokemon Dragonite and Garchomp. Other Mighty Pokemon that will be making their debut include Pidgeot and Golem from the first generation, Sportskeeda said.
Because Mighty Pokemon can be shiny, using Lure Modules and Incense to get them to spawn is recommended to try and get their alternative colors. You should also avoid using regular Poke Balls because of their very low catch rates.
The Pokemon GO Wild Area 2024: Fukuoka, Japan event is set to start on Nov. 16, 2024, and will last until Nov. 17, 2024. The global event is scheduled from Nov. 23, 2024, until Nov. 24, 2024. Both of the events have tickets that fans can purchase to attend them.
While players can still partake in the events even if they do not have tickets, having the latter lets them access various bonus rewards. These include one Max Particle Pack and one Egg Incubator, according to Radio Times.
