A new major update for The Light Brigade just released and adds a ton of new content, including a new playable character, a new ability, and many more.
The newest update is known as the "Phantom of Time" and is a free patch that introduces the new character "Saboteur." He is a gunslinger who wields a revolver and comes with the ability known as the "Timepiece."
The Light Brigade Update
This particular ability will let players cloak themselves and also deploy a "deadringer" copy. This allows you to make an immediate escape from danger. You can also use it tactically to move and outmaneuver your enemies.
There is also a new region that was added to The Light Brigade known as "Memorial Grounds." This area will also be procedurally generated and features a war-torn crypt.
The developer said that this place was previously the resting place for many honored soldiers. It has now been reduced to ruins by continuous battles, according to Road To VR.
The Light Brigade was originally launched in February 2023 and many players were immediately hooked on it and its gameplay. It features a unique and clever upgrade system and lets players use World War II-era weapons.

Saboteur's design focuses on stealth and strategy where players will mostly stay in the shadows waiting for the right time to strike. The introduction of this new character adds another layer of strategy for players to consider during a match, the PlayStation Blog said.
Various New Content
The new map is filled with various secrets and dangers that players can encounter. It also offers a haunting backdrop for you to explore. You can either figure out what is hidden in this new area or you can succumb to the chaos that has consumed the sacred ground.
The Phantom of Time update marks the latest in a series of post-launch patches that developer Funktronic Labs has delivered. The Shadow Hunter update in April 2024 also added the new Hunter class.
The Memories of War also introduced two classes as well as brand-new hand-crafted levels for players to dive into. The studio has not yet provided any details on what future updates could add to the game. It said that it is working on "the next even newer content update," according to Upload VR.
