Nintendo's Super Mario Party Jamboree is considered the best entry in the series. It features a variety of fun content and mechanics that keep players on their toes.
One of the core features of the game is the variety of boards that you can play on. Some of these are returning levels from previous entries in the franchise. But when you just start, nearly half of all boards in the game are still locked as you only have four to choose from.
Two of the boards that you have to unlock are returning levels from previous entries in the Mario Party franchise. The last one that you can get is a board that is completely new to Super Mario Party Jamboree.
How To Unlock Boards
The first four boards that you have access to are all new levels for the latest entry in the series. You will use these boards in order to complete various requirements to unlock the other boards in the game, according to The Gamer.
The first set of boards that you can unlock adds three more levels for you to choose from and can be acquired by raising your Player Rank. There are various hints that subtly tell you how you can get boards.
Raising Your Player Rank
In order to increase your Player Rank, you have to complete various achievements that the game throws at you. On top of boards, you can also unlock reactions, player card items, and many others.
The first you can unlock is Western Land, which is a map that makes a return after it appears in Mario Party 2. You can get this board when you reach Silver Rank in the achievement mission, which is when you reach level 10.

The next board you can acquire is Mario's Rainbow Castle which is the same one from the original Mario Party game. You can unlock this level when you reach level 20, which is when you get Gold Rank.
The last board in the game is King Bowser's Keep, which is a new map in Super Mario Party Jamboree. This level can only be acquired after you reach Platinum Rank, which requires getting to level 30 or finishing the Party Planner Trek, Nintendo Life said.
Other Tips
After unlocking all of the boards, you can also work on unlocking all of the characters that you can control in the game. There are a total of 22 characters in the roster and you already start with 20.
The two newcomers are Pauline and Ninji, who can be unlocked relatively simply. You just have to go to the Hot Air Balloon above the Party Plaza. Instead of toggling between modes with L and R, you should move the left control stick to freely control the camera.
The two unlockable characters can be seen hanging out on separate islands in the background waiting for your invitation to join the party. Pauline can be found on a small sandbar located to the left of Minigame Bay.
On the other hand, Ninja can be found on the larger of the pair of islands that are behind the Rhythm Kitchen building, according to IGN.
