Microsoft confirmed the official release date of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy for Xbox Game Pass.
The game pack will be available for users who are subscribed to the service's Standard and Ultimate tiers starting on Nov. 12, 2024. The Spyro Reignited Trilogy includes the first three games in the platformer franchise; Spyro the Dragon, Ripto's Rage, and Year of the Dragon.

The trilogy package also makes various improvements to the Spyro games. These include a beautiful graphical overhaul. The confirmation of the release date comes as various games that are coming to Xbox Game Pass for November 2024 were revealed last week.
This suggests that Microsoft was keeping quiet about the Spyro Reignited Trilogy becoming available on the subscription service. It becomes the latest game from the company's massive acquisition deal with Activision Blizzard.

The particular deal also resulted in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 becoming a day-one launch for Xbox Game Pass. It is the latest entry in the popular first-person shooter series and was met with a record-setting release, according to Game Spot.
Creative director Miles Leslie said that the availability of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on Xbox Game Pass also helped it attract veteran fans. The Spyro Reignited Trilogy was originally released in 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

A year after that, the remade Spyro games were also brought to the Nintendo Switch and PC. The original titles were exclusive games on the PlayStation and were released from 1998 to 2000. Sony used Spyro as its mascot during that time.
Prior to the confirmation, Microsoft had teased the potential arrival of the Spyro franchise to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. It previously posted on X a short video that featured a chest. It was captioned with, "Hey uhh who left this chest here?" IGN said.
Then, the official Spyro X account replied to the post with googly eyes that hyped fans for what would be coming in the future. The Spyro Reignited Trilogy has sold more than 10 million copies as of September last year.
The trilogy now joins many other popular franchises that have made their way to the subscription service. These include Diablo IV as well as Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Some of the more recent tiles are Starcraft Remastered and Starcraft II: Campaign Collection which bolsters the lineup even more, according to Windows Central.
