Nvidia just announced that it plans to implement a new 100 hours cap playtime limit for GeForce Now cloud gaming service subscribers.
The new cap would affect paying Performance, previously Priority, and Ultimate subscribers. However, if players still want to have more time with their games, they can pay an additional fee to get more hours.
GeForce Now Playtime Limits
The news was shared by the company in a post on Reddit where it said that it would be limiting the hours that players have per month. This would help it "continue providing exceptional quality and speed - as well as shorter queue times."
Nvidia also argued that the change would allow for an unlimited allowance that would "comfortably accommodate 94 percent of members" of the cloud gaming service. Players who want to take advantage of GeForce Now are given 100 hours per month, which is about three hours daily, according to Eurogamer.
They will now need to pay an additional fee to get more time, with 15 hours costing $2.99 for Performance and $5.99 for Ultimate subscribers. The company also noted that up to 15 unused hours per month will be carried over to the next.

The new restrictions are planned to take effect starting next year, which means that all current and new subscribers this year will get unlimited playtime until January 2026, Sports Illustrated said.
Nvidia noted that any player who is subscribed to GeForce Now's Founders tier will still have unlimited hours of playtime for life, as long as there is no lapse in their subscription.
Various New Changes
But if someone chooses to change from the Founders Tier to the Ultimate Tier, they will immediately be affected by the new restrictions. This means that they will only have 100 hours of playtime per month starting in January 2026.
On top of the planned new terms, players can take advantage of the Day Pass which is currently 25% off for a limited time. This would give players access to 24 continuous hours of cloud gaming for various titles that are available.
Furthermore, this week sees the release of seven new games to the cloud gaming service that join the more than 2,000 other titles currently in the library. The Performance membership's new name also comes with an enhanced streaming experience at no additional cost.
Subscribers at this tier can stream at up to 1440p, which is an increase from the previously available 1080p. You can now also save your in-game graphics settings across streaming sessions, according to Nvidia.
